The cave seemed endless, yet it was only built into a thick, stone wall. Skeletons of dead dragons and birds lay on the floor. Moss infested the walls, and spiky vines grew from the roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OKAAY. IT\u2019S ALL READY. YOU CAN START NOW.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, we just walk to the end, I guess.\u201d Peachu said, shrugging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWrong,\u201d Beakfall said. \u201cWalk to the end bravely and confidently.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhaddaya mean?\u201d Birdhead asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Zip&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDidn\u2019t we go through this already?\u201d Birdhead sighed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Puff, puff.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHm?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Hiss, puff.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdhead glanced around. Light purple smoke floated around him. \u201cHello? Beakfall? Myrtlelana? Zelda? Melody? Peachu? Lionessfire? Everybody?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Hiss, puff, puff, puff.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSorry?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Puff, hiss.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A small cloud of light green blew into the purple mist followed by an orange colour. It formed the shape of a dragon, with a tiny orange bird hovering next to it. \u201cWhat&#8230;?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dragon grew red eyes and towered over the bird. \u201c<em>FAIL&#8230;\u201d<\/em>it hissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shapes faded away, and instead a shape of a yellow lion with wings took their place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u2018<em>Destruction and war; evil and ruins<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>No tread of light, no trail of hope<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>An age of not anger, an age of not malice,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>But the Incarnation of Hatred&#8230;\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Fail&#8230; and face the truth&#8230;\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdhead yelped. \u201cNo, no&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Fight it, <\/em>a voice said in his head. <em>It\u2019s fake&#8230;Fight it&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A cloud of black floated towards in front of him, with bright yellow eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Die&#8230;<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Fight it&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou die,\u201d Birdhead snarled, and blew the cloud away with his wing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBIRDHEAD!\u201d Myrtlelana yelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe thought you were&#8230;eaten!\u201d Melody gasped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe did <em>not<\/em>,\u201d Beakfall snapped. \u201cAll I was aware of was that you said, \u2018You die.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOhhh, hmm,\u201d Birdhead lied, trying to end the conversation. \u201cI did?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The long, endless pathway stretched still, further than the naked eye could see. The Mythicals continued to walk the long path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAAAAARGH!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEh? MYRTLELANA!\u201d Peachu screamed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A dark shape flung a large cage over its victim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Clink, clink.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It fiddled with the top of the cage for a second, obviously setting some spell on it, and in a split second, it pulled it up with Myrtlelana in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHELP!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdhead looked helplessly at Beakfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou are the leader, so show it.\u201d he said quietly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Behind the shape of the grand hippogriff, purple mist formed around the rest of the Mythicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You are the leader.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdhead nodded nervously and flew up towards the lifting cage. A soft breeze came from the <em>flap <\/em>of his wings. He took a deep breath and blew out a trail of fire to the top of the cage, where a spiral blue tail held onto a chain, connected to the metal roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Hrrrr&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fire hit the tail, but it did not do anything to the metal cage. Myrtlelana groaned as the mysterious mythicimal shook its tail wildly to shake the fire off, and that was when Birdhead noticed the dark shape of a grey dragon hovering in the sky, almost perfectly blending into its surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myrtlelana toppled over in the cage and yelled, \u201cBIRDHEAD! It\u2019s no use&nbsp; &#8211; just tell Beakfall to help. We\u2019re a team still, aren\u2019t we?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her expression was hopeful and sad. Birdhead understood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But as if he had been listening the whole time, Beakfall flashed up, past the cage, and crashed right into the camouflaged dragon. The cage dropped and went tumbling down to the rocky ground. \u201cHELP!\u201d Myrtlelana screamed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the ground, the Mythicals were briskly out of the mist; Lionessfire ducked into the shape of a sneaking dragon, wings outstretched, and swiped them inwards, creating a gust of wind powerful enough to change the course of the cage &#8211; making it so it did not have such a rough landing. It landed perfectly on the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHow do I get out?\u201d Myrtlelana cried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Back in the sky, Beakfall tackled the camouflaged dragon, and it roared, flapping its wings quickly, trying to force the hippogriff away. Beakfall did not move a muscle; he growled, charging into the dragon, turning it into a puff of purple smoke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beakfall hurriedly returned to the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lionessfire pointed at the enclosed cage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBirdhead.\u201d Beakfall nodded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut &#8211; I?\u201d Birdhead replied, \u201cWhat &#8211; ?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He tried breathing fire on the metal bars. Nothing happened, except Myrtlelana jerked away in fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a Trial of <em>Courage,<\/em>\u201d Beakfall said, rolling his eye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He lifted his claw and put it on the rightmost bar of the cage. Slowly, it started to melt, but following with the melting scene, an ominous glow started to flow around Myrtlelana, making her feathers start to turn a dark shade of grey. Birdhead tried holding the cage with his shaking wing, nervous of what might happen to Myrtlelana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou are trembling with fear. That will not help,\u201d Beakfall informed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myrtlelana stared at him with hope in her aqua eyes, which seemed to be fading yellow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t do it; I can\u2019t control it! It\u2019s like I can\u2019t remember what courage <em>is,<\/em>\u201d Birdhead whimpered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBirdhead,\u201d Beakfall hushed. \u201cCourage does not need to be recalled.<em>Listen, <\/em>Birdhead. <strong>Courage need not be remembered, for it is never forgotten.* <\/strong>Do you hear me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdhead nodded. \u201cBut what will happen to Myrtlelana?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beakfall smiled. \u201cShe will become more brave: More courageous.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The phoenix gulped. \u201cBut I can\u2019t make courage! It\u2019s&#8230;not possible!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLook, Birdhead, I understand you care.\u201d Myrtlelana sighed. \u201cBut I\u2019m only one phoenix, aren\u2019t I? In any way, <strong>I\u2019m still your friend. <\/strong>I\u2019m still me, always there. Birdhead &#8211; we only just met!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lionessfire joined Zelda and Beakfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut&#8230;\u201dBirdhead replied. \u201cI&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Myrtlelana smiled. Her feathers turned dark, and a bright, red fang marks revealed on her right wing. The cursed cage began to collapse, and Melody lifted her claw to join in as well. Peachu landed on the falling cage and placed one of her leaves onto the metal surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bars cracked open, and Myrtlelana\u2019s eyes started to turn into an eerie glow of red. A little hole formed, but it was not enough for the phoenix to crawl out. Beakfall let go, and following, the other of the Mythicals let go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdhead gulped. Myrtlelana smiled, but it was barely visible, her whole body seemed black by now. \u201cDon\u2019t worry, Birdhead. I\u2019ll live.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The shivering phoenix touched the cage. Beakfall put his claw on his wing, pressing it against the bars. \u201cJust remember, this Trial was set by the Lord of the Dragons, one with only light and peace, not shadow and hatred.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Crack.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cage dissolved into ash, and Myrtlelana cheered. Her feathers were back to normal, with the normal shade of orange and aqua eyes. \u201cSee? I\u2019m alright!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beakfall smiled. \u201cThat cage is called a Fear Prison. It\u2019s meant to try and send fear to every living thing around it &#8211; mainly by creating an illusion of the prisoner turning into the dark version of themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBeakfall, why do you always tell one the truth at the end of the nerve-racking situation?\u201d Zelda asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell, it helps them cope with it better,\u201d Beakfall replied calmly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re not the Beakfall I used to know,\u201d Zelda said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peachu landed beside the remains of the Fear Prison and touched the ash briefly. \u201cIt sends a shiver up my spine! I get it now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*<\/strong>Quote from Breath of the Wild, by Zelda, also noted on the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> page<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDo we keep walking? It still seems a long way&#8230;\u201d&nbsp; Melody muttered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The hippogriff shook his head. \u201cDeku.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>YES? <\/em><\/strong><strong>WHAT? I\u2019M VERY BUSY AT THE MOMENT.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEnd this Trial.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HEY, WATCH IT. I\u2019M THE BOSS HERE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDeku, we\u2019ve already destroyed the Fear Prison.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>YOU HAVE? SORRY. I\u2019LL LET YOU OUT AS LONG AS BIRDHEAD SAYS YES. DOESN\u2019T HE SPEAK FOR YOU ALL?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYes. I say yes.\u201d Birdhead informed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>LET\u2019S JUST TEST YOUR COURAGE ONCE AGAIN BY SENDING YOU STRAIGHT TO THE FOUNTAIN AND AUTOMATICALLY HAVING THE COURAGE ORB PLACED IN. SO, GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR FINAL FIGHT OF THE TRIALS!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWHAT?\u201d Melody yelped, cut off by a tremendous roar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cBEHOLD! YOU FACE THE NATURE WING! I HAVE NO VULNERBILITY &#8211; FACE ME WITH COURAGE!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A bright green dragon hovered over the Courage Flame. Its eyes were sky blue, its wings wide as Beakfall\u2019s and its tail filled with spikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdhead flapped his wings and flew up into the air and blew out a burst of fire at the Nature Wing. He roared and dodged, sending another burst of fire back. The phoenix simply landed back on the ground, next to Beakfall as he started to charge into the Wing. Myrtlelana aided the hippogriff, sending fire at the distracted dragon as Beakfall clawed him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Nature Wing shook Beakfall off with immense strength, but the hippogriff managed to land back next to Birdhead on all fours. Zelda dashed underneath the green dragon and yelled, \u201cHelllo!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wing did not fall for the mischievous trick, and instead flung the occamy away with its spiky tail. \u201cOWWW!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melody roared and crashed into the Wing. She bit his wing, as Lionessfire came over to slash his glaring eyes, blinding him. Beakfall grinned, and the Mythicals teamed up for a laser of fire to the blind dragon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>ROOOAR!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The blast missed, but the Nature Wing\u2019s right wing was hurt severely, and he could not fly anymore. Peachu grinned and the team charged into the blinded and injured dragon, defeating it for once and for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WELL DONE. FOR A TEAM, YOU SHOW GREAT TEAMWORK SKILLS.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Birdhead smiled.
